Continued Growth & Impact
2019 - Present
Backed by the Indian design community, BeingUser grew steadily to become India’s leading design recruitment agency.
It evolved into a community-driven platform connecting designers with opportunities and companies with top creative talent.
Devika’s journey into recruitment was anything but conventional. A social work graduate from TISS, she began her career working with children from low-income and vulnerable communities, helping them gain access to the right mentors.
She then moved to Bangalore, where she worked on implementing the Right to Education Act, collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for people relations and the impact of meaningful connections.
After a brief (and not-so-successful 🙂) stint in business development—and navigating the uncertainties of the pandemic—she found herself at a crossroads, craving more independence and tangible impact in her work. That’s when she discovered BeingUser. It provided the perfect opportunity to merge her passion for working closely with people with the fulfillment of seeing real-time impact.
Devashree’s career has always been at the intersection of people, communication and storytelling.
She began her career by working as a teaching assistant at one of Delhi’s government schools in association with Teach for India–educating the underprivileged had always felt like a calling.
Her first professional stint began at 35,000 ft in aviation, navigating the skies and ensuring passenger safety on air. She then moved to Bangalore to write for founders and pre-pmf, seed funded startups—crafting their stories into neat narratives.
It was during a brief career break that she decided to plunge into a role that involved a little bit of everything—creativity and discovering talent. At BeingUser, she gets to do a mix of it all—helping the design community and crafting communication for the brand.
